i had a lovely stay at allen. the location was perfect, just a short walk from good restaurants. the staff were super friendly and helpful, which really made my visit special.

the hotel is pretty old but for the price we paid for 4 nights it was all good. beds were comfy, room was clean, aircon was cool, and fridge was cold. all the staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. loved the food, it was cheap and good value, and the beer gardens were nice too. location's awesome, just a quick walk to the strand.

only downside was the noise from the roof generator going on and off every hour, that was super annoying, and it just felt kinda outdated throughout.

the first room was a disaster, old paint flaking off everywhere and a half-empty bottle of water in the fridge, how unsanitary! after begging for a change, I was moved to a cleaner room but the window didn’t close. i expected them to at least treat me like a special guest, but alas, that was too much to ask for.
